DeskDialog
Ticketed IT support and equipment repair — raise a fault, track the engineer, approve a quote priced to the actual job, and pay against an invoice linked to the ticket.
IT problems fixed, without the runaround.
Raise a ticket, track the repair, and approve a quote priced around exactly what your job needs — laptops, USB sticks and small business IT, all in one place.
Most IT support goes wrong in the gaps: you report a fault and hear nothing, the price changes halfway through, and nobody can tell you what was actually done. DeskDialog closes those gaps. Every request becomes a numbered ticket with a live status, an assigned engineer, a quote you approve before any chargeable work starts, and an invoice linked back to both.
How the service works
Describe the equipment and the fault — a laptop that won't boot, a failing USB stick, a network issue. Each ticket gets a unique reference so it is easy to quote in a call or an email.
We review the request, set a priority and assign the right engineer. Related tickets are linked together, so recurring faults on the same machine carry their full history.
You get an itemised quote covering the parts and labour your job actually needs. Approve it online, follow the thread as work progresses, then pay an invoice tied to the ticket.
There is no flat fee, because no two repairs are identical. A quote is prepared once we have seen the issue, and nothing chargeable begins until you have approved it. Company accounts group colleagues under one organisation, so the right people see the right tickets, quotes and invoices — and a knowledge base documents the common fixes, so problems we have solved once get solved faster the next time.
What we handle
Computer & Data Repair
Laptops, desktops and portable media that will not start, will not read, or have started failing intermittently. That covers boot failures, disk and SSD faults, screen and board-level repairs, USB sticks and memory cards — and, where the hardware is beyond saving, recovering the data off it before it goes.
Database & Data Processing
Databases that have grown faster than the thinking behind them: slow queries, corrupted tables, migrations between systems, and one-off processing jobs where data has to be cleaned, merged, de-duplicated or reshaped before it is any use. We work with the data you have rather than insisting you start again.
Forensic & Data Analysis
Establishing what actually happened. Recovering deleted or damaged files, reconstructing activity from logs and file system evidence, and analysing data sets to answer a specific question — whether that is for an internal investigation, an insurance claim or a dispute. Findings are documented so they stand up to scrutiny.
Password Retrieval
Regaining access to systems, files and archives that belong to you — the encrypted spreadsheet whose author has left, the accounts database nobody can open, the laptop of a departed employee. We ask for proof of ownership or written authorisation from the organisation that owns the data before any work starts, and we will decline anything that cannot be evidenced.
Virus Removal and Protection
Removing malware, ransomware and the debris it leaves behind, then closing the door it came through. That means cleaning the infection, checking what was reached, restoring what was damaged, and putting sensible protection and update discipline in place so the same route is not available twice.
Security built in
Accounts are protected by hashed credentials and prepared database queries, each user carries a support PIN for telephone verification, and sign-in and contact forms include a quick human-verification step. Your ticket history, quotes and invoices stay inside your own account.
