How GeckoSend works
Sharing a file takes four simple steps — no accounts to create, no software to install.

Set your options
Choose an expiration date, add password protection, and enter your recipients’ email addresses.
Get your security key
A unique security key is generated for your file. Share it with your recipients so they can access the download.
Recipients download
Recipients get a notification email with the download link. They enter the security key and download the file securely.
The Verification Check — know it’s really from GeckoSend
Every file sent through GeckoSend generates a unique security key tied to the sender’s and recipient’s email addresses. Before downloading anything, recipients can enter that key and both email addresses on the Validate Key page.
If the key checks out, the email genuinely came through GeckoSend. If it does not validate, the message did not come from GeckoSend — treat it as suspicious and do not download the file. It is a simple check that protects everyone from fake or phishing emails pretending to be file transfers.
